Bunheads, Inc. was created in an effort to provide innovative, quality dance accessories to the serious dancer. Since the Bunheads was founded by a former soloist with the New York City Ballet, they have more than 30 years of sweat, sewing, make-up, buns, blisters, bumps and bruises under their belts, and know well the little things that can help make the dancer's life a little easier.

For over a century, Capezio has been the dancers choice for quality footwear and bodywear.  Capezio continues to strive for excellence by offering the dancer innovative, comfortable and fashionable products.

All Capezio point shoes are designed and made with the professional performer in mind.  Attention to detail, superior fit and excellent construction are all part of Capezio's 100 year history.

Salvatore Capezio was born on April 13, 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his fathers footsteps as a construction engineer, Capezio became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, Capezio opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. At the time, the Statue of Liberty was barely a year old and the sign above his door read: The Theatrical & Historical Shoemaker.

Salvatore Capezio started out repairing theatrical shoes for the Met and his excellent craftsmanship and his easy-going personality made him a favorite among the dancers. After making an emergency pair of shoes for Jean De Reszke, Salvatore Capezio made the transition from cobbler to shoemaker. Capezio had found that making dance shoes, pointe shoes in particular, was a challenging balance between delicate construction and complex engineering.

In 1975 Alan Bergman, a successful principal dancer for over 15 years founded Dans-ez International Ltd., and produced the world's first cotton/Lycra leotards and tights.

Today, as then, Dans-ez uses only the finest special fabric blends to create the most comfortable, functional and fashionable styles.

Alan's unyielding dedication in striving for excellence has resulted in Dans-ez being endorsed by the dance and sports world's greatest stars.  Among them are principla dancers of the Bolshoi and Kirov ballet, the British Army School of Physical Training as well as members of the British Olympic Team.  With your Dans-ez purchase you will own the finest dance / fitness wear in the world.

Since 1882, Danskin has been the world's leading manufacturer of women's dance and active wear.  At Danskin, they use performance fabrics and precise cutting specifications to create the most comfortable, functional and fashionable designs.  Most of Danskin's clothing is manufactured in their plant in York, PA in the USA.

Danskin is committed to making the most comfortable and best fitting dance apparel for women and girls on the market today.  As an ongoing process, Danskin evaluate the fit of their core styles to assure contemporary fits of classic silhouettes.
